From imagination to creation

Sculpture

Sculpture, to me, is a journey of discovery an exploration of form, texture, and possibility. Through working with natural materials, I connect with the earth in a way that allows me to open my mind to the unknown. The organic shapes, colors, and textures found in nature inspire my creations, guiding my hands as I shape the raw materials into something new. Each piece becomes a conversation between the material and my imagination, a reflection of nature's inherent beauty and mystery, and an invitation to embrace the endless possibilities that arise when we allow ourselves to be led by the unknown.

Painting

I love the process of painting—how each stroke breathes life into a blank canvas, transforming it with color and emotion. The act of bringing colors into existence feels like a deep, personal connection to the world around me. Through every layer, texture, and hue, I discover new possibilities, and the materials themselves evolve, shaping their own stories. Each painting becomes a living narrative, where the colors not only reflect my thoughts but also lead me into uncharted creative territories, inviting others to see and feel what I’ve uncovered in the process.

Sculptural Painting

Sculptural paintings are my language, a way to speak beyond words and immerse myself in a new reality. By blending different mediums, I create a space where texture, depth, and dimension collide, allowing me to explore new dimensions of expression. Each piece is a journey of discovery, where I experiment with materials and forms, building layers that not only speak to my inner world but also invite others to experience the raw beauty of mixed mediums. This exploration opens doors to endless creative possibilities, turning each artwork into a unique, living conversation.

About the artist

My journey with art began in Bogotá, Colombia, at age three, with a crayon in hand, a simple act that shaped the essence of my being. At 17, I left my homeland and moved to the U.S., where I earned my Art Studio bachelor's from the College of Charleston. Art and poetry are sacred languages that transcend words. They are powerful forces that have helped me navigate the complexities of life. I have faced many challenges, and creating has been my anchor, holding me together when nothing else could. Through every stroke and every verse, I find God within me, around me, guiding my hands, whispering through my words. Each artwork and poem are fragments of my soul, woven with the threads of my odyssey. They are revelations, testimonies of resilience, and echoes of the sacred connection between the Creator and creation. They have become my way of transforming the world. I have created over 1,000 works, each a living prayer, a testament to the light and darkness I have embraced along the way. It’s a force no one can take from me, a divine gift that has guided me to find myself. Creativity is my sanctuary and haven; it has carried the weight of my soul when nothing else could. Art has guided me toward self-love and inner happiness. Through my work, I hope to inspire others to discover their sense of purpose and to be the change they wish to see in the world.
